First "Tour de Natick – Ride For Natick Scholars"
Slated For Father’s Day – June 20th, 2004

Natick, MA…April 28, 2004…Recreational and family bike riders are slated
to meet at the Natick Commons on Sunday, June 20 – Fathers’ Day – for the
first, annual Tour de Natick -The Ride For Natick Scholars. The event, which will
start and finish at the Common, is designed to offer bicycle riders of all
ages courses suitable to their abilities along Natick’s scenic roads and country
lanes.

The Tour de Natick features two options, a short course of six miles for
kids and families and a long course, which at 25 miles is for more advanced
riders. The full event will be held "Rain or Shine" with the 25-mile course
starting at 10:00 a.m. and the 6-mile course starting at
11:00 a.m.

Both courses highlight Natick’s scenic and historic aspects, offering
participants a delightful, yet challenging ride.

All proceeds go towards scholarships and other educational support
for worthy Natick students. The Natick Rotary Club, a 75-year-old
community service organization is producing the Tour de Natick, with
sponsorship from local businesses.

Event registration fees are designed to attract teams and families and
include: 25-mile Course: $65/rider or $50/rider with a team of 3 or more.
All 25-mile registrants will receive a color event T-shirt and water bottle,
water and snack at the Rest Stop, and a ticket for ice cream at the finish line.
6-mile Course: $25/family or $10/individual rider. Registration includes a
ticket for ice cream at the finish line.

All riders must wear helmets and sign a waiver form. "Sag wagons" will be
available for tired or injured riders or bicycles.

Emblematic "Tour de Natick" water bottles and T-shirts will be available for
sale, as will tickets for a "Tour de Natick" raffle of exciting items to be
held at the close of the ride.

Entertainment will be provided at the finish line for young children. An
event photographer will be available at the Finish Line to take Father’s Day
family photos.

Registrations are available by mail, website, and on-site the day of the
event. Those wishing to participate can also pick up registration forms
wherever Tour de Natick posters are displayed. For mail registrations, cash or
checks made out to Natick Rotary Club, or credit cards will be accepted.
