For those of you who don’t already know Keith Berger passed away this past
Friday evening from a long battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Keith was a very
competitive road and offroad cyclist. He was a Cat II on the road and would
often finish top 10 in some very big New England races.
For those of you that have been friendly with Keith, you were blessed to have known him. You knew he could entertain us, how he could spread his charm over a crowd, how he could make heads turn at a Starbucks when his loud laugh & his over powering clapping began. You knew how tough he was, how he could suffer at the end of a race just to be where he needed to be to open up his unique sprint.
Keith taught us a lot about life and about living it every day. He had a positive spin for every situation & it was very rare to find him in anything but a good mood. Most of you know that if you asked him how he was, he had one answer…excellent!
He will be deeply missed.
In the words of his CVC teammates:
We’re all sorry to see him leave us so early in life. I was proud
to have known him and spent time with him. He will be sorely missed.
Here are some websites on "the man". Thanks and take care
