Press Release: Inaugural Root66 series to offer $12,000 purse and leader’s jerseys.

The Root66 series organizers are pleased to announce $12,000 in series cash and awards. Expert and semi-pro/pro racers will be competing for over $6,000 in cash. Sport and beginner racers will be racing for over $6,000 in merchandise awards.

Root66 is title sponsored by of Tolland, Connecticut. Company president, Kevin Bouley, is pleased to announce “What we feel is the biggest series purse for any New England Mountain Bike Series. We’re committed toRoot66, its family focus, and providing competitive, yet fun and challenging races for all abilities ”

Along with great prizes and awards, the Root66 series will feature double series points at its first and last events, a “jackpot” race to be held June 6th featuring a $5,500 prize list, and series leaders jerseys to be awarded for each racing class and category.

The series opener begins on Saturday, April 10th with the Hop Brook Challenge presented by Cycle Fitness and concludes Sunday, September 26th with the Brialee Race in Ashford, CT. For more information on how to take part in Root66 races, visit the official website at
