PRESS RELEASE – SLICK WILLY BIKE LUBE COMPANY
SEPTEMBER 24, 2003

Providence Velo Rider Dave Lapio dominated and won the 2003 Slick Willy Points Race Series. Dave comfortably beat out second place Boston Road Club rider Marvin Wang and third place New Hampshire Cycling Club Rider Steve Gauthier to win $300, the winner’s jersey, and Slick Willy products. Marvin Wang captured critical points in the last race to edge out Steve Gauthier for second place in a tie breaker scenario.

The Slick Willy Points Race Series was part of the weekly Boston Road Club Wells Avenue Training Criterium. Points were awarded each week that the races were held.
