 About Mark

    Mark started racing in 1985 at the age of 14 for the Mass Bay Road Club. As a junior he represented the United States at the World Championships in the Team Time Trial, Road Race, and Cyclo Cross. In 1989 Mark started racing as a Senior for the IME/Panasonic Team and turned professional in 1992 for the IME Cycling Team. From 1996 to 2003 Mark raced for Team Saturn. In 2003 he won the USPRO Road Race Championships as well as the PRO TOUR (a season long points series), finished second at the Wachovia Invitational in Lancaster, PA, as well as at the T-Mobile International in San Francisco, CA, and third at the Tour de Okinawa in Japan. Mark was also selected to race in the 2003 World Championship Road Race in Canada. For 2004 he is racing for the Colavita Olive Oil Cycling Team presented by Bolla Wines. In his 20th year of racing road bikes Mark has also raced every Cyclo Cross season since 1985. He has two National Cyclo Cross Championships as well as one Team Time Trial, and one Road Race National Championship to his credit.

    On the persoal side, Mark has been married to his wife of 11 years Suzanne. Together they have two children, Collin who will be 5 this summer and Ian who will be 1 very soon. Their yellow lab Cassidy enjoys being chased around the house by both boys.
